Job Overview/Summary

As a Hygiene Supervisor, you will report to the Hygiene Manager and help lead the hygiene team at Prep Kitchen to deliver and maintain outstanding food safety and cleanliness standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the hygiene team to ensure daily and deep cleans are completed.
• Train operatives in hygiene, chemical safety, and cleaning procedures.
• Plan and allocate work, ensuring correct staffing levels.
• Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, BRCGS, and customer requirements.
• Carry out hygiene audits and inspections.
• Maintain records of hygiene and chemical usage.
• Manage stock of chemicals, PPE, and consumables.
• Oversee hygiene across both low and high risk areas of the site.
• Work with production and technical teams to maintain compliance.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience in a food manufacturing hygiene role.
• Supervisory experience with direct reports.
• Chemical handling and COSHH training (essential).
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and BRCGS standards.
• Proven experience managing hygiene in both low and high risk areas.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
  
  Role: Permanent - 48 hours per week 
  Schedule: Day Shift - 5 days per week between Monday-Saturday (must be available to work Saturdays). 
  Salary: £14.40 per hour
